The bakery demo below, scored by the plugin.
The test
One bakery page. 50, then 100.
I set up a bakery page the way AI usually builds one. It scored 50. Then I made the changes the plugin recommended.

What it found
- One default font
- Near-black text
- A centred hero with no photo
- Two rows of identical cards
- Indigo buttons
- "Crafted with passion"
What changed
- The bakery's own counter in the hero
- A menu with prices instead of identical cards
- Charcoal text
- A warm accent
- A typeface with character
The bakery is a demo page set up to test the check, not a real business.

How it scores
A score out of 100. Desktop and phone.

- 65–84A few AI tells
- 40–64Looks AI-made
- 0–39AI slop
It fixes the mistakes. It asks about the rest.
- Fixed straight awayCut-off text, hidden headings, text you can't read, broken links, black text.
- Asked once, firstColours, fonts, layouts and wording are listed for you before it changes any of them.
- NeverMade-up facts. If a line needs real details about your business, it asks you.
Then it checks again, gives you the new score, and saves a full report in your project.
What it looks for
What gives an AI site away.
The AI look
- The purple-to-blue gradient and the indigo button
- Emoji used as icons
- One default font for everything
- Rows of identical cards, everything centred
- The stock hero: a headline, two buttons, no photo
- Frosted glass and neon glows everywhere
- AI-sounding copy: "elevate", "seamless", "unlock"
- Placeholder text and made-up round-number stats
The broken details
- Images and text cut off at the edges
- Things hidden under a sticky header
- Text you can't read over photos
- People cropped out of photos on phones
- Sideways scrolling, broken images and links
- Maps that trap the scroll
- Before/after pictures the wrong way round
- A first screen too heavy for a phone

FAQ
Plain answers.
How can I tell if my website looks AI-generated?
Start with the first screen. One default font, a purple or indigo button, a centred headline with no photo, a row of identical cards and copy like "crafted with passion" are the usual giveaways. Unshite My Site looks for all of those and more, and gives you a score out of 100.
Is it really free?
Yes, it's free. Gumroad asks for your email so it can send the download, updates and a short guide to the five AI tells. Unsubscribe any time. See the privacy policy.
Does it send my site anywhere?
No. It runs on your computer, inside Claude Code. It has no analytics, no account and no server of its own. What you type to Claude is handled by Anthropic under its own policy.
Does it work on Wix or Squarespace?
It can check any live site from its address and tell you what to change, but it can only make the fixes when the site's code is on your computer.
Can I use it on client sites?
Yes, including paid work. Just don't resell it or copy it into another product.
How is it different from No Shite Sites?
Unshite My Site fixes a site you already have. No Shite Sites designs a new one from a brief: its own idea, palette, type and layout, built by Claude and checked on every screen.
