The short version: this site has no analytics and sets no cookies. Gumroad handles buying and the free download. The Unshite My Site plugin runs on your own computer and sends nothing to anyone.
Who we are
No Shite Sites is run by a sole trader in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the personal data described here.

When you visit the site
Hosting. Netlify serves this site and, like all web hosts, briefly logs technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
Fonts. The fonts are stored on this site, so loading them sends nothing to anyone else.
No analytics, no cookies. The site doesn't track you, set cookies, store anything in your browser or use advertising of any kind.
When you buy a plugin
Checkout happens on Gumroad, not on this site. Gumroad collects your payment details and acts as the seller of record, so its privacy policy covers the payment itself. We never see your card details.
Gumroad shares your name, email address, country and what you bought with us so we can deliver the product, give support and send important updates about it. Lawful basis: performance of a contract. Purchase records are kept for six years after the end of the tax year of your purchase, because UK tax law requires it.
When you get Unshite My Site
The zip is free on Gumroad, which asks for your email address. Gumroad shares your name (if you give one), email address, country and the download with us, the same as for a purchase.
We use your email to send you the download, updates to the plugin and a short guide to making a website look less AI-made, which mentions No Shite Sites, the paid plugin. After that we write only when there's something worth knowing. Lawful basis: your consent, given when you sign up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
What Unshite My Site does on your computer
Once installed, Unshite My Site runs entirely on your own computer, inside Claude Code. It has no analytics, no account and no server of its own, and it sends nothing to us. To check a site, Claude opens it in a browser and runs the plugin's checking scripts in that page. The only network requests those scripts make are to load images the page itself uses, from wherever that site serves them. To check speed, Claude may run your site's own build and preview commands. Fixes are written into your own site's files, and the report is saved in your project folder.
What you type to Claude, and what Claude reads while it works, is handled by Anthropic under its own privacy policy, not by us.
Who else handles your data
- Netlify: website hosting (United States)
- Gumroad: checkout, payments, product delivery and the update emails (United States)
Where data goes outside the UK, it is protected by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your data, where we don't have to keep it by law
- restrict or object to how we use it
- send your data to you or another organisation in a reusable format
- withdraw consent for emails at any time
We'll respond within one month, at no charge. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
